The FFA Cup 2018 Round of 32 represents a massive achievement in our clubs 50 year history.
A record number of 772 Clubs entered the FFA Cup 2018 competition.
This number included the 761 clubs from the 9 member federations who competed in the FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds, the NPL 2017 Champions Heidelberg United and the 10 Hyundai A-League Clubs.
Over 600 people watched the opening night of Round of 32 between Port Melbourne Sharks SC at home taking on the APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC.
A goal seconds before half time by APIA was the only scoring moment. Otherwise there was plenty of drama during the action-packed game.
We would like to thank our talented coach, Adam Piddick who has crafted a brilliant team that has achieved our best ever result in a FFA Cup, said James Vakrinos, President PMSC.
James went on to thank all of our corporate partners for their commitment to Port Melbourne Soccer Club and invited them to next Tuesday nights match against Melbourne Victory.
