Senior Women

Our Program

Port Melbourne Soccer Club aims to become a club of choice for women and girls.

We launched our women’s program ready for the 2019 season and due to overwhelming demand, decided to field not one, but two senior teams. Both compete in the Football Victoria State League system.

In their first season, both teams won promotion from their respective divisions, with one winning their league and reaching the State Grand Final.

Expressions of Interest for 2021

In order to keep growing, 2021 will see some tweaks to how we operate.

Our State League 4 side will be an ‘all abilities’ team, with a focus on fun, fitness and learning core skills in a competitive environment. This team is ideal for those players who are still learning the game or who are time poor and unable to commit to multiple training sessions per week.

Our State League 3 side will focus on winning promotion to State League 2. Training will be conducted by our FFA-qualified coaches, and will be technically and tactically more advanced, with an emphasis beyond the core skills. This team is for those players who aspire to play at as high a level as possible and who are willing to commit to train twice per week.

We place great emphasis on fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, and believe that being part of a team is about more than the time you spend together on game day.

If you are interested in playing at Port Melbourne, don’t hesitate to get in touch using the form below. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn something new or an experienced player looking to take your game to the next level, there’s a place for you in our ever-growing football family.
